"Puppy" is the newest addition to my family. She is a 5 month old kitten, dropped off at my place when she was tiny, by a neighbor who knew the kitten wouldn't survive without a better home. At that time, she didn't even know how to poop on her own! Her eyes were runny, she was covered in fleas, and her little belly was so round with worms it looked like it would burst. Everyone thought she was so ugly that she was cute. I had to wet down her kitten food with goat milk so she could digest it. Now she is thriving.
She is best friends with my puppy who is about the same age, and Tucker my other cat is so happy to have her around - he grooms her, cuddles with her, and even lets her eat first! It has been so rewarding to see a little kitten who looked so lonely and sickly, grow up to be a playful, beautiful young cat. She never even tries to leave our yard - I think she knows there is no better place to be than at home!
