Daisy and Abby

Who would think that hearts could melt by a picture seen over the internet? Well they do and they did! Twice! First there was Daisy Duke. Daisy is a Berner/Border Collie mix.

Daisy arrived via Delta Air Freight on a June evening a few weeks after Lindsay found her on a rescue site. She was searching for a Bernese Mountain Dog to replace our beloved family pet that had recently passed away. After scanning through the litter, exchanging numerous emails and chatting with the family, Daisy was the one for us. She is today a truly amazing dog- smart, sensitive, sweet, quiet, almost human. Daisy is 4 years old and is the older sister to Abby.

Abby arrived on St. Patrick's Day 2006 shortly after another of our Bernese Mountain dogs passed away. Abby is an Anatolian Shepard/Great Pyrenees mix. She is a free spirit with a kind heart. Her nickname is Doodle-Dog and that suits her just fine. Both of these rescues have blended in with our family and they have enhanced our lives beyond compare. They give to us what no one could ever have described.

It is nothing that is easy to pinpoint, it's just that they are there to be your friend, confidant and your pal. Daisy and Abby...yes, hearts do melt even faster once you've met them.
